Today we venture again into the Southern Tablelands for two very different guided tours. We will be vising the historic city of Goulburn, the first inland city in Australia. Following a short break for our morning tea we will visit the Goulburn Waterworks. The Goulburn Waterworks commenced pumping and supplying water from the Wollondilly River in 1886, providing the residents of Goulburn with a reliable supply of water. The steam engine used was one of the first in the country and then steam engines became a reliable source of power in the young colony. After an interesting morning we return to the centre of the city for lunch at the Goulburn Workers Club.

Probus Tours
After lunch we have another guided tour, this me at the recently renovated, restored and extended Rocky Hill War Memorial
overlooking the city of Goulburn and the surrounding country side. Goulburn City Council have invested a large effort in renewing this spectacular memorial which is visible from a considerable distance.
The original Monument was opened in 1925 and the new display incorporates artefacts from the many conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
Only a short drive up the highway and back to Narellan to complete our day in and around Goulburn,
