An “ALLSORTS” day today, as we explore more of our extended region.
We start with a relaxing Cruise on the Nepean River, departing from a location adjacent to the first crossing of the river by Blaxland, Lawson and Wentworth back in 1813. We Cruise ever so slowly down into the Blue Mountains National Park, at spot close to where the Nepean and Warragamba Rivers become a single water course. We turn-about and commence the return trip along the river back to our boarding place at Penrith. During the cruise we will enjoy a commentary on the district while we enjoy our morning tea.
MORNING TEA ON A RIVER,
VIEW AN AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION SITE
Friday 15th November 2019
Following the cruise we re-join our coach for the short ride to the Penrith Golf Club where lunch will be served on our arrival. After lunch we visit the construction zone of the “Nancy-Bird Walton” Airport.
Yes, that is the name that has been given to this new exciting development on our doorsteps. Following a short introductory presentation, we are escorted on a tour of the site to view the work already commenced and see what is too come.
Filled with all the information about this expansive development we make our way back to Narellan.
