Day 11. Sun 12 Sep: Perth - Indian Pacific Railway - Kalgoorlie - Boulder                                            Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Today we bid farewell to Western Australia as we check in at the East Perth Railway Station to board Australia’s own
iconic train the legendary Indian Pacific for our rail journey through to Sydney. We depart Perth at 10.00am for our
journey across the “Mighty Nullarbor Plain”. Enjoy a delicious lunch in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant carriage as we
watch the world roll by. Our first off train excursion is in the wild west town of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Visit Hannan’s North
Tourist Mine where we can view the minerals exhibition, visit the Chinese Gardens and climb up on to a dump truck
for a great photo opportunity before heading to the oversized ‘Super Pit’.

Day 12. Mon 13 Sep: Kalgoorlie - Cook Breakfast,                                                                                                        Lunch & Dinner
We wake up this morning with the Nullarbor Plain passing by our cabin windows, if lucky enough we may even see
some kangaroos or the occasional circling bird of prey. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before stepping off the train for a
short stop in Cook. We have the opportunity to wander through the once bustling railway community, now effectively
a ghost town, Cook gives new meaning to the expression "middle of nowhere". Once back on board we enjoy the rest
of the day, sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world.

Day 13. Tue 14 Sep: Adelaide - Broken Hill                                                                                                  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
This morning our desert views have made way for the rolling South Australian countryside. Arriving in Adelaide,
prepare for an entertaining stop in a beautifully-designed city renowned for international arts festivals, pop-up bars,
and lane-way restaurants. Once disembarking we join one of two off train excursions, Adelaide Central Market or a
highlights tour of Adelaide. Once we are back on-board we have time to relax and watch the pastures dissolve into
tough mallee scrub on approach to Broken Hill. Known as the Silver City, Broken Hill is one of Australia’s legendary
Outback bases defined by its wide streets, country pubs and ties with the Royal Flying Doctors Service and School
of the Air. Again, we have the choice of two off train excursions, The Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery or The Palace

Day 14. Wed 15 Sep: Sydney                                                                                                                                        Breakfast & Lunch
The Blue Mountains are a favourite getaway destination for Sydneysiders and now we have the chance to explore why
this gorgeous World Heritage listed area is so appealing. After our arrival into Mount Victoria, we’ll head to Scenic World
where we’ll get to enjoy four amazing mountain experiences. The Scenic Skyway takes us 270 metres above ancient
ravines that pass beneath the glass cabin floor for an amazing bird’s eye view. Our vista is 360 degrees and takes in
the famous Three Sisters, the Jamison Valley and Katoomba Falls. Photograph more of those incredible views from
the Scenic Cableway as we descend more than 500 metres to the valley floor where we can stroll through Jurassic Age
rainforest on the elevated Scenic Walkway. The steepest passenger railway in the world (52-degree incline), the Scenic
Railway, with its glass-roofed carriages, is one of the most popular attractions of the mountains and definitely a must-
do. Next, travel to the stunning Echo Point Lookout perched on the edge of the escarpment in Katoomba to enjoy a
light lunch, where perennial favourites are paired with award-winning wine and beer to complement those amazing
views. Following the same rail line as the Indian Pacific, we join a private charter service to complete our journey to
Sydney’s Central Station arriving approx. 3.30pm. At Central Station we collect our luggage after a wonderful time
away amongst the “Wildflowers of Western Australia" with Trade Travel.
