The History of Narellan Probus Club

What Does A Probus Club Do?

* It does what it likes within constitutional limits.

* Most  Probus clubs meet monthly for fellowship, morning tea, a short business  session and to hear an interesting guest speaker.

* However, many   arrange outings or tours and these are usually fellowship occasions with spouses and friends invited.

* Some Probus clubs have special interest groups - such as music, art, history, sporting, drama, bush walking, cycling, fishing and many more.

* The Probus club constitution states that it shall be non-political, non-sectarian and that it shall not be a fund-raising group.

* The Probus club elects its officers annually, it operates within a constitution, it had to be sponsored by a Rotary club and it is accredited (on the application of the sponsoring Rotary club) as a Probus club by the Probus Centre - South Pacific.

* The sponsoring Rotary club's responsibility ends when it presents the Certificate of Accreditation to its Probus club and invests the foundation president with his/her collar of office.

* Members of a Probus Club are Probians.
